Lights Out, Knocked Out • Best 60ish Seconds
This week's Best 60ish Seconds looks a little different, as Charlie continues to wait for power to be restored following Pennsylvania's Independence Day weekend storms. In a parallel he didn't plan, both the USA and Brazil have also gone dark at the World Cup. Brazil couldn't overcome Norway's defense, falling 2-1, while the U.S. fell flat against Belgium 4-1 — ending both countries' exciting runs. Charlie is still watching — today's quarterfinals between Norway and England and Argentina and Switzerland promise more drama.
On a prouder note, when Gov. Shapiro and other Democratic governors skipped the Great American State Fair, Senators McCormick and Fetterman stepped up — working with Pennsylvania's business community to deliver one of the best booths at the National Mall's America 250 celebration. And the Big Boy — the world's largest operating steam locomotive — rolled through Pennsylvania this week to the delight of crowds celebrating the greatest country on earth.
Charlie closes on Iran: as he predicted, the deal is falling apart — you simply cannot trust the Iranians.
