Crowns, Courts & Churchill Downs • Best 60ish Seconds

In this week's Best 60ish Seconds, Charlie opens with a salute to King Charles III, whose state visit this week commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence. King Charles became only the second British monarch ever to address a joint session of Congress, delivering a witty and insightful speech.

Charlie then turns to the Supreme Court, which handed down a landmark 6-3 decision this week that limits the use of race as a determining factor in congressional redistricting.

Charlie then weighs in on Jimmy Kimmel for his "expectant widow" joke about First Lady Melania Trump. On a more encouraging note, Charlie highlights Pennsylvania Sen. Dave McCormick and Philadelphia Mayor Cherelle Parker sharing cheesesteaks in the City of Brotherly Love. Charlie praises both the working relationship between Senators McCormick and Fetterman, and Mayor Parker for stepping up for Philadelphia.

Charlie closes with the 152nd Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs today, with favorites Renegade, Further Ado, and Commandment set to break from the gate at 6:57 p.m. ET. On the diamond, Charlie tips his hat to Don Mattingly, who took the Phillies' managerial reins this week and promptly guided the Phils to a 7-0 win over the Giants in his very first game.
