Spain, Supply, and Sad Goodbyes • Best 60ish Seconds

In this week’s Best 60ish Seconds, Charlie wraps up the World Cup by congratulating Spain, while Argentina came up empty in the final and Messi barely touched the ball. Still, Charlie says the tournament was fabulous for the United States — we welcomed the world and showed them what we’re really all about.

Charlie then turns back to Iran and, as he admits, he may sound like a broken record but we simply cannot trust them. He goes on to highlight an editorial by former Congressman Chris Carney included in this week’s Daily Breakfast Briefing email stories. Charlie agrees with the congressman that we need more power generation to meet growing demand and keep the economy moving.

Charlie closes with two remembrances. He honors Ray Keating — a great economist, a man of deep Christian faith, a prolific author, and a really great guy. He also remembers former Congressman Tim Murphy, a good friend who served our country in the Navy and the Commonwealth as a state senator before representing Pennsylvania in Congress. May they both rest in peace.
