Control of Congress Runs Through PA
With control of the House on the line, Charlie turns his attention to four important Pennsylvania congressional races here. He starts close to home with Congressman Scott Perry’s debate against Janelle Stelson, making the case for returning a proven conservative and military veteran to Washington.
Charlie also looks at the races of Brian Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mackenzie, and Rob Bresnahan. All four Republican-held districts are among the country’s most closely watched battlegrounds—and could help decide which party controls the House.
The conversation then turns to energy. Charlie welcomes Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent’s call for the World Bank to resume financing oil and gas development, arguing that affordable, reliable energy must be developed under market conditions rather than restricted by ideological mandates.
On the sports front, LeBron James prepares to make his 76ers debut against the defending champion Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Finally, Charlie remembers Mike Rice, the longtime leader who helped transform Hanover’s Utz into a nationally recognized snack company. May he rest in peace, and may perpetual light shine upon him.
